Join us for this encore presentation as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary and honor Owen Moskal, the 2026 Debra Harrington Scholarship recipient. View Owen's curated exhibition, then discover how Schuyler County's people, places, and landscapes helped shape the story of the American Revolution.
Hear from Martha Evans, Heather O'Grady-Evans, and Dr. Gary Emerson, as they share their unique perspectives on Schuyler County's military legacy, the contributions of women during the Revolution, and the experiences of the Haudenosaunee during our nation's founding.
Session I – Heather O'-E will discuss the creation of the 250th commission, its goals/objectives, and the decision to use a sense of place. I will then take a short 10-minute excerpt from "Women and the Revolution" talk.
Session II - Gary Emerson will discuss the decision to take this opportunity to re-examine and re-read history. Discuss the book club series and then take a short 10–15-minute excerpt from "Haudenosaunee and the Revolution."
Session III - Marty Evans will discuss the opportunity provided by the 250th to delve deeper into the history of our military lots and the veterans of Schuyler County. Then a short excerpt from "Hector Military Lots"
