Kathy Moser was nominated by Governor Hochul in September 2025 to serve as Acting Commissioner of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. A lifelong New Yorker, she brings decades of conservation leadership experience, including senior roles at the Open Space Institute, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, the World Wildlife Fund, and The Nature Conservancy, with her career beginning in the Peace Corps.
