The Montour Falls Library provides standard, up-to-date library services in a building that is more than 150 years old and on the National Register of Historic Places. The Library serves a vast population consisting of Schuyler, Chemung, Yates, and Steuben Counties. Unique features include an active Children's Program, talks on local history and interests, and educational bus trips to museums and other cultural venues. The Library is well known for hosting a regularly scheduled live music series, as well as several monthly book clubs for adults and young adults. The community is also welcome to utilize Library space for meetings relevant to local interest, and accommodates such organizational discussions on a regular basis.
